Salmonellosis

Salmonellosis, sometimes referred to as Salmonella, is an infectious disease in DayZ Standalone.

Virulence

Invasiveness	Average	How quickly a disease grows and spreads in an infected host.
Infectiousness	Very Low	The ease at which a disease can spread from one Survivor to another.
Resistance	No Effect	A disease's resistance to antibiotics.
Potency	Very Potent	A disease's resistance and ability to fight the host's immune system.

Cause

Survivors in DayZ Standalone can become infected with Salmonella type bacteria by eating uncooked meat, uncooked fat, earthworms, any rotten food item or by drinking or eating with bloody hands. If the survivors immune system is weak enough, these actions will result in Salmonellosis.

Symptoms

Vomiting is the most common symptom of Salmonellosis. This can lead to severe hunger and dehydration.

Prevention

Cooking meat before consumption will kill off the bacteria that cause Salmonellosis. Washing bloody hands before eating and drinking will remove the blood, preventing sickness. Not eating rotten food items or earthworms if not necessary

You can also eat Multivitamin Pills to keep your immune system strong.

Treatment

You can eat Charcoal Tablets in order to get cured.

Eat and drink in small bites while sick to prevent vomiting.
